So be it.

God's will be done on heaven and earth and Jesus cried out:

"Eloi, eloi, lama sabachthani?"

and two thousand years have passed and the same cry is being heard from the lips of the ...

forsaken.

Making God's promise on Hebrews: "Never will I leave you and never will I forsake you" null and void.

since the promise doesn't carry out to ALL people at all times and at all circumstances.

And how could "someone" even use nEVER when there was a time he'd forsaken them eventhough it was "for an unknown reason"?

So ...

The molested victim is helpless under the hands of her aggressor.

"innocent" sheep fall prey to their predators, etc., all because:

"Everything happens for a greater, optimal good."

and alot of good men have fallen martyrs to "serve god's purpose" ...

Tragically, we also have no right to question his motives since:

"Everything happens for a reason. What the reason is, I have no idea."

which makes us sightless followers, following although we don't fully understand becos of one key ingredient ... "faith."

Lolz. Every religion inspires the same concept of "faith" to their potential converts as well to give em a good hold ... o the neck?

:0

these religions clones gives me the creeps ...

Although you're right.

“Why pray if God’s will shall be done anyway?”

It would be better ask a genie in a bottle.

He ... aven's wishes! ;)

"<i>So that means if a mother prayed her child wouldn’t die IF that isn’t aligned to god’s will (perfect will, that is) her petitions to god would utterly be useless as they would be falling on deaf ears.</i>"

God has an unknown higher reason for allowing such things to happen. God listens to every prayer. In fact, he answers them all. God basically has 3 answers to every prayer: a) Yes b) No c) Wait

God is more intelligent than us humans so he is able to see things in a much broader perspective than our limited minds can ever hope to grasp. Everything happens for a reason. What the reason is, I have no idea. But this is a deduction based on the idea that God is all knowing and god is all good. Everything happens for a greater, optimal good.

<i>"A hardcore fundie prays he’d get ppol INSIDE his church (which he sincerely believes is true) whereas a hardcore jwitness prays that ppol would COME OUT of that fundie’s group.

One religious “apologist” prays hard to “win” the argument AGAINST what he thinks to be a christian “cult,” whereas his opponent prays his “apostate” critic would lose the debate …

If you were god … how would you respond to these petitions?"</i>

God will do everything according to his will. Period. It doesn't matter who prays. His will shall be done regardless. Or, if we would go to the exclusivity claptrap, he will listen only to the true(tm) Christian. So the apologist wins the day. The cult loses. As for the Pacquiao-Morales and Basketball game scenario, his will shall be done. Case closed.

Which leaves us the question, "Why pray if God's will shall be done anyway?" Answer: Redefine Omniscience! (eq. Molinism)

I just wanna leave a few remarks on what the "Number 1 Apologist on Earth (said): ""I do say my request. God wants to hear our request, especially if it is align exactly with his will.""

So that means if a mother prayed her child wouldn't die IF that isn't aligned to god's will (perfect will, that is) her petitions to god would utterly be useless as they would be falling on deaf ears.

Or consider this:

A hardcore fundie prays he'd get ppol INSIDE his church (which he sincerely believes is true) whereas a hardcore jwitness prays that ppol would COME OUT of that fundie's group.

One religious "apologist" prays hard to "win" the argument AGAINST what he thinks to be a christian "cult," whereas his opponent prays his "apostate" critic would lose the debate ...

If you were god ... how would you respond to these petitions?

Correspondingly, two basketball teams who are members of the SAME religion, prayed in advance to win the coming tournament ...

Again, the same question would be asked.

Yeah, yeah ... god is great ...

Speaking of which ...

Did Manny Pacquiao prayed harder than Morales?

or do both boxers worship a different deity?

What do you think?

Did Manny donated MORE to god than Eric, or is Manny a "less sinful-man" than Morales?

Going further ...

Who'd win in the middle east conflict?

The followers of Jah or ALLAH?

Guns, Gold ... and God?

Whatever ...

Yeah, yeah god is good ... yeah yeah yeah yeahhhhh

what if god was one of us?
